Dear sir,
I am a resident of Bopal municipality in the district of Ahmedabad. As a responsible citizen, I consider it my responsibility to bring the sufferings of the people in the notice of the authorities. Recent heavy rains have destroyed most of the city's roads. Some roads have completely vanished in rains. The remainings are in wretched condition. There are big size potholes everywhere that can be the site of fatal accidents. These potholes have badly affected the city traffic, which remains jammed for hours. Due to the blocked sewerage system, rainwater polluted with effluents has flooded the roads and streets in the city. The stagnated water is the reason for the foul smell in the surroundings and can become a cause of epidemic diseases in the area. Apart from fixing roads, rehabilitation and reconstruction of the sewerage system on emergency footing is the only short and long term solution to this problem. I am hopeful that you will give it a kind consideration and will send municipal teams in localities where rainwater has not been drained yet.
Yours sincerely,
Kiran Nagpal
Hope it will assist you.

Subject: Water logging on our roads during monsoon
I am writing this letter to bring to your kind notice the issue of water logging owing to poor drainage in our area, which causes much inconvenience to the residents. The problems of the residents have become exceedingly serious. This rainy season our city has received copious rainfall. The entire city has been flooded. Our colony was no exception. You will be shocked to know even after almost a fortnight, the rainwater has not been drained. The simple reason behind this flooding of the city roads is poor drainage system. The high areas are clear and clean. The rain water has been drained from there. The problem is with the low areas, where the drainage system has been faulty. The PWD department’s inefficiency has been exposed.
The stagnated water has been causing serious health issues. Malaria, dengue, chikanguniya, apart from stink and travelling problems, and mishaps. We have written many letters requesting repairing of the drainage system. The apathy of the concerned officer is outrageously shocking. I appeal to your excellency to look into the matter and expedite the corrective and preventive measures for the affected residents. Looking forward to prompt action.
Yours truly,
Kiran Nagpal
