I am Ajay Dev, a citizen of Chandigarh writing a letter to complain about the increasing pollution and traffic in our city.
The vehicles in our city are increasing day by day and so is the pollution and diseases. The air of the city is filled with smoke and dust particles and it is no wonder that the risk of getting lung cancer and other deleterious diseases are increasing at a high rate. Our streets are also strewn with garbage and the drains are choked with junk.
This problem can be solved to a great extent by giving awareness to the people and disposing off garbage properly. People should be encouraged to utilise public transportation facilities instead of using private vehicles.
I hope you will look into this matter at the earliest possible.
