want to invite your kind attention to growing menace of thefts in our locality. You will be surprised to know that as many as 20 thefts occurred in ‘B’ block alone during the past one month.
About 15 of them were reported to sub-inspector in charge of the police post while others were not reported partly because they were minor in nature and partly because people seem to have lost faith in the efficiency of the police administration.
It is another jarring note that police officials harass those who go to report the matter to them.
It has been observed that the police patrolling during the night has been stopped. People of suspicious character are allowed to gamble in the park of the colony.

It is suggested that police patrolling be revived during the day and night. Undesirable elements should be checked. These elements should be dealt with iron hands.
