Dear Sir, 

I live in the Kaikhali area, close to Kolkata Airport, which is under your jurisdiction. Our locality is India in microcosm, i.e. it is inhabited by people of diverse economic, social,lingual and religious background.
With a view to promoting unity among the people, the youth of the locality wish to organise a cultural meet on Bengali New Year's Day, 15th April, 2017, which coincidentally also happens to be a Sunday. The basic intention of the meet will be to create a bond among the local people, with the participation of members of all communities. It'd be worth mentioning here that this get-together shall be free of political affiliations.
We seek your kind permission for organising the meet. On receipt of your permission, we shall approach the Police, Fire Department, Electricity office and so on. We would be doubly happy if you could kindly grace the occasion as our Chief Guest.
