Sir,
I think that we should do more to stop smoking because it is not healthy for the human body and it will take a long time to get back to being healthy. We all know that second-hand smoke is harmful.
Secondly, it pollutes the Earth when people throw cigarettes on the ground and people will not pick them up. They will just step on the cigarette. The cigarette will make the Earth look gross when it is stepped on. Cigarettes are also very dangerous when people throw them, because if they hit someone they could be very injured.
I hope that after you read this letter you will put it in your newspaper for everyone to read and think about.

Subject: Causes and harms of smoking
Sir:
I am writing this letter to your good self to express my concern over the issue of smoking. Causes of smoking are many. One starts this harmful habit in the company of bad friends, loneliness, or by watching actors in the movies. These smoking scenes in movies depicting cine stars smoking has many adverse effects on the viewers, especially the youngsters. These scenes abet them to smoking.
Smoking causes lung cancer, cancer of the larynx, chronic bronchitis, and emphysema. The Government must ban smoking to discouraging it among people. Through the medium of your daily I appeal to people and the Government to take strict measures to make our society totally smoking free.
