Dear Editor
I'm a constant reader of your No.1 newspaper in India. The truthful presentation of news and bringing up issues of malpractices to the public eye are some appreciative notable features of your paper. This?s not a complaint letter or grievance instead it?s a letter of request to take initiative against abusive mobile callers.
Mobile phones are certainly a boon to the society. It has now become an indispensable part of our daily life. Being a college student even Am a frequent user of mobile for keeping in touch with family, friends and relatives and for traveling purposes. But due to regular unwanted calls from unknown callers this?ll be my second SIM card that I'll be disposing this year. The problem is some callers make a round guess and dial the number then on hearing that the receiver's a female they try to start up a conversation. Later when we do not attend such calls they start sending SMS's. When finally they don?t get any response from such messages they start giving frequent miss calls and messages containing abusive and harrasive words. The only action prevalent and that which can be taken against such a call?s to file a case against such callers at the police station and while doing so the police asks for proof and many other procedures will have to be gone through. But in spite of our efforts we might not be able to get our job done.
Am humbly requesting the authorities to bring about some sort of website which would accept such complaints and take immediate actions thereafter or a new method for blocking such calls. Hope this letter of mine will be given due consideration.
Thanking you.
