Dear Sir,

Subject: nuisance of loudspeakers during examination days

Through your esteemed newspaper, I want to highlight the problem of nuisance of loudspeakers during examination days. It's not less than a torture to poor students. Auditoriums near school should avoid playing loudspeakers during examination days. Please post this content on the front page of your upcoming newspapers.

Hope to be helped.

Thank you.

Yours faithfully,

Subject: The nuisance of insensitive use of loudspeakers.

Sir,

Through the columns of your esteemed daily newspaper, I would like to express my displeasure on the excessive use of loudspeakers (PA Systems) in our towns and cities.

Festivals are a time of joy everyone look forward to each year. Festivals are a part of our personal, religious, and social life. The problem is not celebration of festivals, but the manner in which it is celebrated. Most of the important festivals are celebrated with loudspeakers at high volume throughout the day and all night long. There are restaurants, cafes and night clubs where loud music is played late into the night in the name of birthday celebrations and parties.

These are all public disturbance and a major cause of noice pollution. Noise pollution is known to cause headache, irritation, and other health problems. We must also have consideration for the sick people who want quiet time to rest and to sleep properly.

They disturb the sleep of the public. It interfere with the students studying for exams or doing their homeworks. The irresponsible use of loudspeakers will adversely affect their performance in exams and their future career.

Therefore, I feel that the use of loudspeakers and loud music should be banned or restricted in residential areas and defaulters should be severely penalised.

Yours sincerely,

N. K. SHARMA
