Subject: Supply of polluted water in the locality

Sir,

I, on behalf of the residents of my locality, shall be much obliged if you allow me a little space in your esteemed newspaper to draw the attention, of the authorities concerned, towards the poor quality of water supplied to our homes since the past few weeks.

The water received by us is extremely filthy; it contains particles of mud, plastic, etc. Since few days, even worms have begin to appear in the water. This poses as major threat to the residents’ health. Many of them have fallen ill due to this. We are being forced to buy bottled water for our daily purposes. This is adding on to our expenses. We are being denied the right to clean and pure water.

We had written to the authorities regarding the issue earlier but they had turned a deaf ear to our complaints. Therefore, it is my humble request to you to publish an article about the same in your newspaper, so that the authorities take note of the matter and carry out the necessary actions.

Thanking you in anticipation.

Yours truly,

Jewel Thief.

Sub:- Polluted Water Supply

Sir

Through the column of your esteemed daily, I would like to draw the kind attention of the concerned authorities and common masses towards Polluted Water Supply.  I wish to draw the attention of the Municipal Corporation of Delhi to the polluted water supply. Kindly spare a little space in your esteemed newspaper to highlight my problem.

It is a sad thing that the water supply in the area is either meagre or polluted. For the last month, the water supplied by the corporation is dirty looking and gives a bad smell. It is a great hazard to health. It is feared that it may cause dangerous diseases like jaundice or cholera in this area.

The residents of this locality have complained to the authorities many times. But no attention has been paid to this problem. We hope that the problem will be solved with the help of your newspaper.

Thanking you,

Yours faithfully,

Harminder
