sir,

I'm a daily reader of your respective newspaper and thus wanted to have the public's attention on a very important topic that is to clean the river.

As we all see nowadays, the rivers are flooding with the material and plastic waste. It breaks my heart to see the rivers in such poor condition. The garbage and waste is not only polluting the river but also the environment and the people living around it. It's a major health concern.

I hereby appeal for a public movement to clean the river and also requests the general public to come forward and help each other.

To keep the water bodies clean, We should be more alert to our behaviours and manners. We need to stop throwing waste into the rivers and government should enact some strict rules and regulations against this kind of act. We must stop industrial waste to let into the rivers by requesting to them to build waste gutters and chimneys so that the rivers can be protected form being polluted.
