Subject: Bad condition of roads
Sir:
I write to your good self to express my concern over the bad condition of roads due to which many accidents take place every year.
The poor condition of roads is one of
the major causes of road accidents in India. According to data issued on road
accidents by Ministry of Road Transport.
Though not all accidents are caused by poor roads, however, poor roads play quite a significant role in these accidents.
This problem of poor roads is quite widespread in the nation. Especially during and after the monsoons the roads are badly damaged. In the cities, the drains get damaged. All the manholes are uncovered. Quite frequently these broken drains and uncovered manholes become the causes of the accidents.
These accidents can be stopped by making quality roads and timely repair of the broken roads, poor drainage system and ramshackle conditions of roads. The departments responsible for the maintenance of roads should act fast and ensure road safety. Through the medium of your esteemed newspaper I appeal to the concerned
authorities at the state and central government to look into the matter and
take prompt action to this problem.
Thanking you.

Sub: Poor condition of bus tops and railway station in the city
Dear Sir:
I am writing to you to express my concern over the very poor condition of city bus stops and railway station. If you want to see the mockery of Swachh Bharat Abhiyan, you must go to city bus stops and railway stations. It appears as if these places are the dumping grounds for the city’s waste. What shocks the most is the negligence and apathy of the civic authorities to the maintenance and conservation of these important public places. There is total chaos at the said places.
I appeal to the concerned authorities to look into the gravity of the situation. Installation of CCTV cameras, putting guards on duty, cleanliness, and providing some facilities for the passengers also must be looked into. In the absence of proper and adequate washrooms, the immediate surroundings of these places have become very unhygienic.
Through the columns of your esteemed daily I appeal to the concerned Ministry and local authorities to look into the problem and do the needful.
Yours truly,
