Subject: Teacher’s day
Sir,
Through the columns of your esteemed newspaper, I would like to express
my views on the value of a teacher in our society. On 5th September, our school celebrated teacher’s day on the occasion of the birthday of Dr Sarvpalli Radhakrishnan, the great educationist of India. Class XII students dressed up like our teachers and taught the junior classes. The day was enjoyed both by the teachers and the students. Teacher’s day celebrations, all across the country are both by the teachers for their sincere efforts to impart knowledge to their students.
The teachers act as guides for life, show the path towards success, and enrich the personality of their disciples by imparting ethical and academic knowledge. The celebration shows the respect and value of a teacher in students’ life. This celebration is an opportunity for the students to extend their gratitude to their teachers.
Teachers are one of the greatest people who are not only selfless-givers but also the mentors of your life. At every step, teachers enlighten our path and life. Salute to our great teachers.
Thank you
Yours Sincerely
Sohan.

Subject: Glory of Indian Hockey
Sir,
Through the esteemed columns of your newspaper, I would like to express
my views on the glory of Indian Hockey. Hockey is the national game of India and I am proud of it. Although, we were never a superpower in sports history shows some moments of glory. Foremost is the legend of Indian hockey. Hockey has given us 8 Olympic Gold Medals, 6 of them in successive editions between 1928 and 1956.
But in today’s time, hockey’s glory has become a bit shady. Perhaps, this degeneration is not that surprising as most of the Indians are more into cricket than hockey. But we can bring back the glory of the game. Our students should indulge in this sport. Like other countries, playing one’s national game should be made compulsory in schools.
Hockey is a team sport. It will inculcate team spirit in students. If proper training and sports facilities are provided in all schools, I am sure we will outshine again in hockey. We need a collective action of the government, schools and students to bring back the glory of Indian hockey.
Thanking you
Yours sincerely,
Avani

Subject: Relevance of extra-curricular activities conducted at the school.
Sir/Madam,
Through the columns of your esteemed newspaper, I would like to highlight the importance of extra-curricular activities conducted at schools. Apart from academics schools organize various activities like painting competitions, debates, sports activities, writing workshops, drama clubs etc. These activities are not frivolous time pass.
They help a student to find his/ her talents and provide an outlet for their creativity. They contribute immensely to the overall mental and physical growth of students. They boost self-confidence and instil a sense of positivity in students.
Schools should aim at imparting important moral and ethical lessons through extracurricular activities. It would prepare better future citizens of our country.
Thanking you,
Yours sincerely,
Amor
