Subject: Need for people to obey traffic rules for safety
Dear Sir,
Through the columns of your esteemed newspaper, I would like to stress the importance of obeying traffic rules while driving on road.
It is evident in the present scenario that the cases of road accidents are surging like anything. It is mainly due to the fact that people are not willing to abide by the traffic rules. Wearing a helmet when riding a two-wheeler and putting on seat-belts in a car is utmost required.
Citizens must be sensitized to abide by these rules. Stringent action should be taken against those who don't follow the guidelines else the trend of unsafe driving will continue. Always keep in mind that "speed thrills, but kills!"
