Sub : Complaint against Ganga Pollution

Sir,

I shall be highly obliged if you kindly allow me to ventilate through the columns of your esteemed daily the inconveniences caused by the pollution of the Ganga river.

Ganga is familiar to us as the holy river and now it is hitting the headline for being one of the most polluted river in India. This is caused by untreated sewage, different chemicals and other waste materials by the people and the factories beside the riverbanks. These are killing aquatic plants and animals. Various diseases are spreading out due to this pollution. There should be an awareness campaign. The factories should take steps.

I, on the behalf of the people of this country, would request the authorities concerned to take immediate steps to solve these problems.
