Dear Sir/Madam,
[Purpose of writing the letter / Subject]
Subject - To highlight the problems faced by migrant students in Delhi
[Main Body:
a. Introduction
I write this letter to shed light on the serious problems faced by the students who migrate to Delhi for studies. Accommodation for migrants has always been an issue in Delhi, and I strongly believe that it should not come in the way of aspiring students of India.
b. Main content
To cite a few examples, my colleague Dinesh Srinivasan, who came straightaway from Chennai to peruse Bachelor of Engineering in Delhi college could not get a room for 3 months, as he could not afford the exorbitant prices demanded by the landlords. Even if he had money for rent, it was impossible for him to pay the hefty deposit. He had met several owners and visited many rooms in search of a proper accommodation. but unfortunately, he had to deny all of them because of non-affordable prices. Few of the landlords denied him accommodation, as they only wanted to rent a room for people who strictly follow certain culture, food habits and lifestyle. This is one of the hundreds of students who are suffering with the same dilemma. No action or steps are taken by the authorities or student council to address this issue. Because of this, the migrants have to adjust in an inconvenient accommodation lacking facilities, which in turn affects their studies.
c. Conclusion]
Through this letter, I request the concerned authorities or student council, to understand the gravity of the situation, and take necessary actions. Our country can only prosper if the students are able to get quality education with economic and convenient accommodations.
