A Letter to the Editor of the Newspaper about Lack of Garbage Disposal in Your Area

The Editor,
The Statesman,
Delhi.
Sir,
Sub: Littering due to lack of garbage disposal
I, Ravi K, a resident of the Group Housing Complex, Beadon Street, would like a space in your esteemed daily to express my deep anguish and concern of the littering in our locality.
Although Beadon Street is regarded as one of the most posh areas of Delhi but it is a shame that there is no provision of garbage disposal in this area. Some of us who are concerned citizens stack our garbage in our cars and dispose them in the dumping ground ten kilometres away but the others strew the garbage on the streets. The entire street is littered with waste. Rodents pounce hungrily, stray dogs party on the filth, crows scavenge the remains on the verandas. The monsoons have added fuel to the fire by flooding the streets and blocking all water outlets with the plastics of the litter. The entire area has an obnoxious stink and is a pot hole of disease and filth with flies, vermin and mosquitoes swarming in thousands.
If nothing is done soon there will be an outbreak of diseases which may turn to an epidemic. I would therefore earnestly urge the concerned Authority of the Municipality to take immediate action.
Waiting in anticipation
Yours faithfully,
Nikita C
