Sir,
Subject: Pathetic condition of roads
I write to your good self to express my concern over the bad condition of roads in our locality due to which many accidents take place every year.
Our authorities show a great belief in superficial development, therefore the main road and highways are decoratively constructed, but the interiors are equally horrible in the present condition. Broken from various places, these roads have pits after every 20 metres and especially during and after the monsoons, the roads are badly damaged. In the cities, the drains get damaged. The coverings of the manholes are dislodged. Quite frequently these broken drains and uncovered manholes become the causes of the accidents.
Despite regular complaints, our locality seems to be the lowest on priority and all complaints seem to have fallen on deaf ears.
I request you to allow me to use your esteemed newspaper as a medium of arousing the attention of the concerned authorities so that appropriate action will be taken.
Thank you for your consideration.
Yours truly,
Neeraj.
