Respected sir,
My son and daughter — seventh-grade twins — have been attending IDVA for three years. We started cautiously, because my kids had always gone to traditional brick and mortar schools. We quickly discovered that online school not only challenges my advanced learners but makes it possible for them to explore educational opportunities that they couldn’t before when they were tied to a desk and the rigid schedule of a classroom.

I also appreciate that IDVA is a pub-lic charter school and the curriculum meets state requirements and testing. But IDVA offers them far more than public school at home.

My kids also take advantage of school-sponsored clubs on computer programming, math or music theory. This month, they will meet up with their classmates in person at the College of Southern Idaho to present their projects on quantum physics and beekeeping. IDVA cultivates these face-to-face opportunities, understanding that socialization is important.
