Madam,
Through the columns of your esteemed daily newspaper, I wish to highlight the massive pollution by plastics of the city.
The dumping of plastic bags, plastic bottles, etc. has created an unhygienic condition to the environment of our city. Heaps of plastic litters can be seen everywhere. The drainage system is clogged with plastic bags and plastic bottles. The water ponds in the parks and the rivers are polluted with plastic waste.
We can no longer remain silent spectators. We need to create awareness of the danger of plastic pollution and how to reduce it. We must aware of how to use fewer plastic products. If people stop using less plastic, production will decrease. Shoppers must refuse any plastic bags from shop owners. They need to carry their shopping bag. Plastic bags should be replaced by bags made of biodegradable materials like cotton and jute. They must not buy bottled water but carry their non-plastic water bottle. Plastic wastes must be collected for recycling.

Respected Sir,
I am writing this letter to draw your attention notice that in today's current situation the use of plastics and plastic bag in increasing extensively.It is a fact that plastic bags are harmful due to their non-biodegradable nature. They don’t decompose, instead they choke the drainage system. Most animals eat them and die in the long run. If they are burnt, their obnoxious smell pollutes the atmosphere.
Everyone should stop using poly bags. Jute bags, paper bags, etc., should take their place. I hope you agree with my topic. To spread awareness in the minds of people it is necessary to edit this topic in your newspaper.
