Dear Sir,

Subject: Menace of stray cattle on roads

I am writing this letter to highlight the menace of stray cattle on the roads of Kochi. The number of stray animals is increasing every day.

The cattle causes accidents and often causes traffic jams when they roam around along the middle of the road. They litter the roads with cow dung. They are often seen destroying gardens and eating fruits and vegetables from the carts of the vendors.

The municipal authorities must prevent this menace by rounding up the cattle and putting them in cowsheds. Cattle owners should be fined heavily and given due punishments for letting them loose on the road.

I do hope this letter will make the authorities aware of this issue, which causes a lot of nuisance to the people travelling across the city.
