Dear Sir, I am Sameera Neetu pursuing my grade 12. This is to bring to your notice the increasing rate of gender discrimination in our country. I’m sure you would be doing an immense enquiry by now as this is of the running issue being highlighted. As a responsible citizen of our country, I would like to state some of the practicalities of the issue “BETI BACHAO BETI PADHAO” as I believe that I am a state of position who would witness the issue closely.
I have friends who were born as girls. Their parents are well off enough financially to allow to keep their daughters move on with their studies. But they would only allow their daughter to study if there would be a fee reimbursement. This is because their thoughts are still in a well of frogs. They think that spending money on a girl child’s education would get them nothing. Instead, they would save the money as a dowry when they get married. This issue has been such a backing down point in our country. Girls are being made slaves by the parents themselves. I feel this is because if their ignorance.
I feel that as educated citizens, you need to throw light on such issues and participate in the development of our country. I am writing this to you as I believe that you are in a field which is one of the most powerful sectors in our country to make changes.

Sir:
I am writing to your good self to express my views on the importance of Beti Bachao Beti Padao campaign. The nation is working concertedly to eliminate gender discrimination, inequality, injustice against women, etc. True women empowerment can only be achieved through girls’ education.
All social evils, discrimination, inequality, low literacy among girl children, female foeticide, etc. can only be stopped through girls’ education. Empowering girl child with education is the only panacea. An educated girl will have the power to make her dreams come true. Only an educated girl can earn her own living and free in true sense.
India is a fast developing country. The goal of complete advancement is not possible until each and every Indian becomes not only highly educated but also highly skilled. This task can only be accomplished with the girls’ education and contributions. So, empowering girl child with education is the best investment a nation can make!
The Indian Government has taken a significant step in this direction by starting the Beti Bachao Beti Padao campaign. This campaign aims at reducing the Child Sex Ratio in backward areas, cities, and states. Through the columns of your esteemed daily, I appeal to the Government and the people to spread awareness about this programme so that people can avail the benefits of this campaign.
