Through your esteemed daily, I would like to draw attention towards a growing concern regarding the need of shelter home for stray and abandoned animals in the Rajatpur area. Recently, due to the increase in construction of new and renovation of old building, animals such as cows and dogs have become homeless. They are forced to live on the street near dustbins. They scatter the dump in search of food. They roam freely in colonies which has become a menace as local residents are afraid of the them. There have been several cases of road accidents due to stray animals.
To curb the issue, animal shelter for stray and abandoned animals can be constructed in nearby areas so that they get proper shelter and food. A vaccination drive can be organised to vaccinate the stray dogs. I hope this subject will get a humble corner in your popular daily.
