Sub: Inefficiency of the regional passport office.
Sir:
I write to you to express my concern, anguish, mental torture, and harassment I
have been facing on account of the red-tape and inefficiency prevailing in all
the key government-run offices, departments, and areas.
I had applied for my passport on December 10, 2015 (the receipt of the fee I paid is attached with the letter), and I have not received my passport till today! I have written many reminders to the office but to no avail (copies of the reminder letters also attached).
I feel so aggrieved and annoyed at the apathy of the government run departments to the efficiency in completing their work. The hard-earned money of the tax-payers is being wasted in giving mammoth salaries to inefficient workers in government run offices.
How can we achieve the goals of progress and meet the demands of the twenty-first century world if we have such a slow pace of getting the work done in the offices run by government. I have already faced so much of loss on account of my inability to go abroad just because the government of my country is so inefficient.
Through the medium of your esteemed newspaper I appeal to the concerned Ministry and department to take immediate action in speeding up the process of completing pending works at government run offices. I am sure you will help in bringing the matter into the notice of concerned authorities.
Thanking you.
Yours truly,

Dear Sir,
I wish to bring to your notice and through you let your readers know of my harrowing experience regarding a Passport I applied for in December last year. The application was submitted on December 6, 2015. Police inquiry has not taken place as yet nor any intimation received either from the Passport office or from the Police or even from the Intelligence Bureau.
I shall be highly obliged if you or any of your valued readers takes up this issue, on my behalf, with the concerned people and help me get a Passport as I propose to go abroad in February, 2017. Alternatively, I shall be grateful for guidance and advice in the matter. For your information, I had submitted the application at the Regional Passport Office, Kolkata.
Thanking you,
Yours faithfully
