Sub: Poor state of Government hospitals in our city.
Sir:
I write to your esteemed self to express my deep concern and anguish over the poor state of the government hospital in Jammu. As you already know there is an outbreak of epidemic of dengue and chikanguniya all across the nation. In this situation, my brother was affected by dengue unfortunately. We rushed him to the government hospital in desperation. We did not know the shocking surprises we would meet at the hospital.
As we reached there, we did not find anyone at the emergency. In the name of a nurse, we found her dozing in a corner. The doctor on duty was not to be seen anywhere. The hygiene and the cleanliness at the emergency was horrible. As I went to the reception, I found the desk deserted. Seeing the poor state of affairs, the family decided to rush to Dyanand Medical College and Hospital.
If we had not rushed my brother to that hospital, any tragedy could have happened! I felt so outraged the Government operated hospitals afterwards! What a sheer wastage of national resources, the tax money of us, the taxpayers! What is the good of such government hospitals which are as good as nothing? Why does the government not privatize such hospitals?
Now, I on behalf of all the citizens of our state have decided to bring the attention of the concerned authorities to the problem through the medium of your esteemed newspaper. I just want to ask the concerned authorities and the ministry why there is indifference and apathy to Government run hospitals. Where will the poor go? Where the money of the people collected from taxes is going? I am hopeful that you will help me by publishing this letter in your reputed daily. Thanking you.
Yours truly,
G. ABHI

Subject: Poor condition of the local hospital.
Dear Sir,
I would like to bring to your attention about the poor and unsanitary condition of the hospital in our locality, ie. in ABC Village. The government workers who are assigned to do the work has not done anything to help improve the condition nor have they even turned up for their works. Not only that, the hospital management seem to not care about the situation. There are patients all over the place, some even sleeping or being left on the floor with no doctor to be seen. Even the hourly doctor visits hardly happen, which also added to the severity of the medical cases of most patients.
The food in the cafeteria is not safe enough to be consumed by anyone and there are no test centers for the patients. These factors add to the troubles of the people rather than being helpful.
So, it is my earnest request if you could ensure the condition of this hospital to be highlighted in your esteemed newspaper, This may capture the interest of the higher authorities and may help bring improvement for the hospital.
Hoping to see an article on this issue in the coming days. Thank you.
Regards,
Mr. A
Resident of ABC Village.
