I fully concur that the street vendors who hawk the sidewalks near the Dome are becoming a real nuisance to folks attending events at our two excellent venues and are now an embarrassment as well.

I watched these people work their way up the ramps that disperse the crowds onto Poydras Street after the game, all the while screaming "New Orleans F...ing Louisiana" and waving their T-shirts at the crowds. This was going on while they were on Dome property, not Poydras Street. My guess is that it would have been shut down had they tried this on Bourbon Street or at the Jazz Fest -- and shut down quickly. It needs to be stopped now and never be an issue again -- anywhere.
