Subject: Scarcity of Water in the City of Light
Respected Sir,
Most humbly I request you to allow me the privilege to highlight the crisis of the scarcity of water in this City of Light through your esteemed daily newspaper.
For the past three weeks the water supply was very irregular. Due to this there is shortage of water in Varanasi. The people are having a hard time to meet their basic needs of water. Some people are being compelled to buy water at exorbitant rates brought from other places. Several people have written to the concerned departments and authorities as well as met them personally to apprise them of the situation. But still the situation has not changed and the crisis of water shortage continues.
Therefore, I earnestly request the PHE, the Municipal Corporation, as well as the higher authorities to urgently look into the matter so that regular supply of water is restored at the earliest. The people of this city are facing much hardship due to the crisis of the shortage of water.
