Subject: Frequent load shedding in Friends Colony locality.
Sir,
Through the columns of your esteemed daily national newspaper, I would like to express my concern over the frequent load shedding in the locality of Friends Colony, Guwahati.
I am surprised that in spite of lodging several complaints with the power department, nothing has been done till date and the residents of this locality continue to face frequent load shedding. Due to this the people of this locality are facing much hardship. Further, both parents and their school children are anxious with the frequent power cut as it disrupts their daily study hours.
It must also be noted that it is the common and poor people who suffer the most during load shedding because they cannot afford to buy generators.
I therefore request the power department and the authorities to look into the matter immediately and restore uninterrupted power supply to this locality at the earliest.
