Sir,
Through the columns of your esteemed daily ,I would like to express my feeting and concern about woman safety in India,our beloved motherland.When we brouse at the pages of a newspaper ,we come to across many headlines reporting cases of sexual assault , molestation , sexual harassment,rapes, trafficking, ill-treatment of woman in house,and violence against woman at homes.The crime and violence have become commonplace affairs in India. Seemingly ,the criminals are not at all afraid of the law of the land . It is also evident that cities in India can no longer claim to be safe for the children, young girls and woman .We must have remedial or curative measures such as fast track courts that deal only with this offences and crimes . This can be made responsible to clear the cases on day to day basis with fair trial as it’s core principle .The law should be strong enough so that nobody could ever imagine of doing such things.It is the time when the government should undertake drastic measures to put an end to crime against woman and all fair sex.
I would like to mention here that a country which doesn’t respect women can never become a developed country.So I would like to request Indian citizens to provide equal respect and security to women.This letter may kindly be published in larger interest of people of our motherland.
