Sir,

            I am Vishal Basu, a daily reader of your newspaper. In this letter, I want to express my concern over the rise of fake news in the media, in the context of the Covid-19 Pandemic.

           The existence of fake news in media cannot be denied from the very beginning. But it is increased during the Covid-19 Pandemic.​ It has become a huge problem for all of us. We get to see fake news regarding vaccines, the reasons for Covid-19, the medications, the count of covid cases, timing of lockdown and etc. People find it difficult to understand which news is real and which one is fake nowadays. People need to be aware of it.

           I would be obliged if my writing gets a little space in your esteemed daily.
