Sir,

Sub: Hardship and harassment for closed flyovers

I, Ravi Ghosh, a resident of Kolkata, would like a space in your esteemed daily to express my deep anguish and concern of the terrible plight of commuters on account of the closure of flyovers.

Kolkata Traffic is one of the most gnarling traffic of the world. This heavily populated city is ill-famed for its tiring traffic jams. To add fuel to the fire, the Kolkata roads become a living hell when the flyovers are closed for maintenance purposes. In the past few years commuters had been relieved a little from traffic jams due to the opening of various flyovers that inter-link various parts of the city.

The traffic jams had been moderately controlled but with the set of monsoons most of the fly-overs have been closed for repair work. This has resulted in hardship and harassment for the commuters. There is utter chaos and confusion. Traffic jams have increased and the time for travel has wearily increased.

I would request the concerned authority and the traffic controller to look into the matter and resolve it at the earliest possible.

                                       Thanking you!!

                                                                                      Yours sincerely,

                                                                                       Ravi Ghosh.
