A letter to the editor of a newspaper to appeal to the general public to celebrate a safe and pollution free Diwali

To

The Editor,

Times Of India,

Mumbai.

Respected sir,

Subject: appealing to celebrate pollution free Diwali

I am writing this letter in order to bring your attention about the pollution being raised during Diwali festival. Air pollution has becoming a major concern as there are lots and lots of dust and smokes produced from human beings via automobiles, bursting crackers, and so on. During Diwali, the amount of releasing smokes is higher resulted in increase in air pollution. So, therefore, I am requesting Government to take necessary steps in promoting pollution free Diwali.

Thanks,

Sam.

The Editor,

Sub: Safe and Pollution free Diwali

Sir,

Through the columns of your esteemed daily I would like to urge the people of Delhi to celebrate a pollution free and safe Diwali.

As we all know that the Delhi air is supersaturated with pollutants. An emergency has been declared due to the alarming high level of pollution. It is thus our responsibility and duty as concerned citizens to play our part in controlling the pollution.

Diwali we all know is the festival of lights. Let us light our city but not burst crackers. The gun powder present in the crackers is one of the major contributors to air pollution.

Further bursting crackers is very dangerous.  It is the source of fires and accidents. I would thus, on behalf of all the residents of Delhi, request all Delhiites to refrain themselves from bursting crackers.

I wish all a safe and Pollution free Diwali.

Thanking you,

Yours faithfully,

Ravi K.
