Sir,
Diwali is a festival of light and joy. But this doesn’t mean that it should be celebrated in a noisy way. Year after year thousands of rupees are wasted on crackers and fireworks. During the Diwali week there is an incessant noise lasting from dawn to midnight. The deafening noise made by powerful crackers and ‘atom bombs’ frightens young children and adversely affects the sick. It makes it difficult for many people to sleep peacefully at night. My appeal to you and general public is to Diwali.
It is high time we stopped this practice of celebrating Diwali in a noisy manner. The Government should ban the use of atom bombs’ during Diwali.

Subject: To celebrate a safe and pollution free Diwali
Please publish this in the respective newspapers:-
Dear public,
Our country is recently getting polluted a lot for many reasons such as burning firecrackers, depositing waste in perennial river bodies, etc. In the last few decades, the rate in increasing pollution has come up in an alarming rate. This is leading to excessive global warming, which can cause the decline of the whole earth.
This time, it is suggested to you, to celebrate a safe and pollution free Diwali. We all know, it is a dear festival, but the condition of global warming is alarming too. So, it is advised to follow these instructions this time:-
- Don't burn firecrackers, which acts as a pollutant to the nature.
- Don't burn bombs, acting as a pollutant to the animals.
- Don't fly lanterns. (They are strictly prohibited by the airport too, because of creating unrest in the cockpits of aeroplanes.
Hope you all will strictly follow this.
