Sir,

Polythene and poly packs have become almost sine-qua-non to our regular routine. Through we all are well aware of its usages, we pretend to be less conscious of the havoc that it creates to our ecological balance . Polythene and polymers are non biodegradable objects and so these are non- decomposing materials . Besides this plastic bag and other materials made of polythene and polymers have adverse effects on human health . These hamper the natural way of flowing water in soil . Naturally the power of fertilization decreases day by day.

I would therefore like to made a strong appeal to the people through your columns against the excessive use of Polythene and poly bags . Only stern government action is not enough . All the people should come alive and they must be brought to sense about the harmful effects of plastic materials . Use of things and bags made of paper or jute must be encouraged instead of plastic .

Sir,

Through the column of your esteemed newspaper, I want go highlight the damaging effect of the frequent using of polythene and poly - packs which is not good for our surroundings.

As we all know, plastic is commonly used nowadays but, it is very harmful. If we talk about it's advantages, there are so many advantages while on the hand it has so many disadvantages also. There are many other eco - friendly things which can take better place instead of poly packs or polythene.

People are so careless that they throw them on the road which leads to land pollution and some people throw them in water which leads to water pollution which isn't a good thing, it can spoil life of aquatic animals. According to me, you should highlight this one on the first page. And, some strict actions should be taken for the people who throw plastic bag in the water or roads. I hope all the measures will bring order and peace in the environment of India.
