Colony New Delhi 15th May 20×× The Editor The Times of India New Delhi Subject : Human Dependence on Technology Sir Through this letter of mine I wish to draw the attention of everyone towards the increased dependence of humans on technology. We use internet for any type of information which we can find only a click away. Everyone whether a child or an adult wants gadgets like cell phones I-pods laptops etc. No doubt technology is a boon to mankind and has a great future ahead but in my opinion we should not depend on it as excess of everything is bad. It is making everyone lazy. On the other hand cyber crimes are also increasing. The key word for this is caution. We must make judicious use of technology and should not completely depend on it. We must believe in natural and simple living. I hope you will publish this letter in your newspaper for the sake of a better future for human beings. Thanking you Yours sincerely Sambhav Jain

Subject: Man’s increasing dependence on gadgets

Dear Sir:

I am writing to your good self to express my deep concern over the problem of man’s increasing dependence on gadgets. Modern life-style and man's increasing dependence on technology have literally affected his mental and physical faculties and capabilities adversely. Not only intelligence, the effect of technology and gadgets is visible on all aspects of his life. Machines, gadgets, vehicles, smart-phones, tabs, laptops, ac, blower, geyser, and whatnot, man cannot live for a second without technology. As a consequence, he has become physically, mentally, socially, spiritually, emotionally weak!

Mobile phones, I pads, laptops, and TVs have done the maximum damage. Not only the health of the children has been affected adversely, but social relationships have also been undermined. The need of the hour is inculcating moderation and temperance in the minds of the youngsters in the use of gadgets. Through the columns of your esteemed daily I appeal to people and the Government to make policies to protect the youngsters from the negative influences of the gadgets. Kindly give my views enough space in your daily.

Thanking you,

Yours truly,

Surya
