Sub: Awareness about growing more trees.
I am a regular reader of Daily Excelsior and using your esteemed newspaper as a medium and I would like to draw the attention of the concerned authority, towards the awareness.
Due to technology nowadays, they have been experimenting on plants and therefore cutting them down. This basically means that they are cutting down a animals's habitat. Everyday the invention of new technology are used to experiment, therefore destroying the life cycle. In scientific terms the water table s lowering and causing natural calamities such as floods, droughts and much more. When trees are cut, the roots that hold the soil tight loosen it and whenever there is a flood, it washes the fertile soil away, exposing the top soil which is less fertile, also leading to desertification. due to deforestation, the water table as mentioned above gets disturbed. The water holding capacity get lowers therefore there remain less groundwater for us.
I suggest we should plant trees otherwise known as Reforestation or Afforestation. We should plants as many as plant as possible because every plant matters since it takes in carbon dioxide and gives out oxygen Instead of throwing the fruits and vegetable waste, we can make compost to make the soil even more fertile. We should avoid using harmful materials that can cause harmful permanent changes to the environment. These small actions are going to lead to big changes.

Dear Sir/ Madam,
Through the columns of your esteemed journal I want to highlight the fact that we need to plant more and more trees to save our environment. Delhi has seen one of the worst pollution levels in the past few months and the worst air quality in the world. This is an alarming situation, and not only there is an immediate need to take some drastic steps by the authorities but also the people should do their part to reduce the pollution levels. This can be done by planting more and more trees in the city. Trees not only would release fresh oxygen in the atmosphere but also helps in absorption of suspended particles in the air. Tress bring rains which can be helpful in clearing the visibility of the area.
That's why there is an 'immediate need to plant trees' if we want to save our environment.
