Sir,
Subject: Technology, a bane for the earth's welfare
This is to draw your attention to the pressing issue of how technology is leading to the deterioration of the earth's health.
Cyber waste refers to dumping of unwanted or obsolete computer hardware and electronic junk such as discarded televisions, radios, tape recorders and any equipment that uses electricity to function. It is also known as e-waste, it does not cause harm but they are non-biodegradable so they simply accumulate and become a mass of solid waste. Consumerism and commercialism has led to a practice of people buying more and more electronic gadgets quite frequently. So the discarded cyber waste is still in good condition and can be used for longer periods of time. Instead of discarding it as junk,it can be given to those who do not have the financial condition to afford one. This is because this indiscriminate dumping and accumulation of non-biodegradable cyber waste is turning the earth into a large vat. The lead content in electronic waste can harm us as well as the levels of mercury present in the products can be quite dangerous to human health. Reuse, reduce and recycling is the motto when it comes to cyber waste
It is my earnest request that your esteemed publication will actively take up this cause for the benefit of the public and help spread awareness in this regard.
Thanking you in anticipation,
Yours sincerely
