I want to draw your attention to the increasing the road accident in the city. paper has itself 6 accidents during the last 60 days.
These accidents are taking place due to several reasons. some of these are poor road and lightning, increasing encroachments violation of the traffic rules by drivers, absence of safety procedures and lack of traffic education. The deputy comisner of city must chalk out a comprehensive plan to improve the traffic situation in city.
School children be given proper traffic education. All vehicle drivers should be made to pass a screening test to judge their suaitablity as drivers. Roads should not only be repaired and widened but should also be provided with sodium lamps to provide sufficient lightning. Helmet wearing law should be strictly enforced. Those voilating traffic rules should not be allowed to go scot free.

Through this letter i want to express my deep concern over the alarmingly increasing road accidents in our city . Gone are the days , when people could not afford vehicles like cars, and bikes but now there would hardly be anybody who doesn't have vehicle.According to the recent survey there is a large number of vehicles in our city. The point of concern is that most parents are allowing their minor and immature children to drive high-end vehicles on roads . They are causing most accidents.The traffic police appear to be lazy to control the traffic . They seem to be unaware of their duty. Moving on red signal is being condoned. Even after being caught red handed ,the culprits are not punished due to their political connections and financial status. If appropriate measures are not taken ,the roads will become a graveyard .I appeal to the concerned authorities through the medium of your esteemed columns to find some solutions to these problems and do the needful .
