Sub: Poor condition during flood
Dear Sir,
Through the column of your esteemed newspaper, I would like to draw the attention of the concerned authorities towards the issue of the poor condition during flood in Guwahati. After a spell of heavy rainfall, all the city filled with dirty waters. Roads were covered, water entered the shops near by. All the drains were flooded. It created an unhygienic condition in this place, as the people were to stay over the dirty waters. The water is depleting very slowly and if it rains again, I think it will reach to our knees. So, the municipal comitees should take active steps to stop the water lodging and provide mutual help to the people suffering from flood. Proper Sanitary materials, foods ,and clean drinking water to be provided.
It will be helpful if you publish this in your newspaper so that your concerned authorities would look into the gravity of this matter and take necessary steps.
Thanking you
Yours truly

Subject: Application for relief and medical assistance for flood victims
Respected Sir/Madam,
I'd want to tell you about the devastation caused by a terrible flood in our neighbourhood, and I'd like to do so respectfully through the columns of your prestigious newspaper.
The latest flood in Guwahati has shattered all previous records. Never before had the water level risen to such heights or for such a long time. For a long time, the area's typical operations have been suspended. Many people have found themselves without a house, food, or clothing. The people's misery has no limits. Crops in this region were severely harmed by the flood. Cattle were washed away. Thousands of people have taken to rooftops, boats, and embankments as a last resort. They've taken to the open air as a last resort. Furthermore, several people have already died as a result of the flood. Cholera, diarrhoea, typhoid, dysentery, and other gastrointestinal illnesses have been reported in various locations.
Food, clothing, medications, and clean drinking water are urgently needed by the afflicted people. The government and other organisations should offer assistance to alleviate the suffering of the people who have been harmed. It is necessary to open relief camps. The government should provide loans to them so that they can re-establish their families and avoid certain death.
In these circumstances, I would like to attract the attention of the government and other organisations to the flood-affected residents of this area and urge them to extend their helping hands as soon as possible in order to alleviate their pain.
Thanking You,
Yours faithfully,
Rohan Arora
