The Editor,

Times Of India,

M.G Road,

Dear Sir,

I would like to divert the attention of the authorities concerned through the columns of your newspaper towards the problems faced in our areas.

We are suffering from power cut from the last 7 days and all the authorities concerned with electricity are not responding. For this will  you please oblige me by allowing some space for my letter in the columns of your Daily Newspaper? I live in one of the Commercial areas of F.B.Area. Electricity does not come seven hours in a day. Students can’t read and thieves take advantage from this situation and about three houses have been emptied by them.

Hoping for a positive anticipation by the concerned authorities in the crying need of my area.

Thanking you

Yours truly

Curtis Lorrete

The Editor-in-chief,

The Daily Herald News,

XYZ Town.

Subject: Frequent load shedding for three months in MG Road Colony.

Sir,

Through the columns of your esteemed national newspaper, I would like to express my concern on the crisis of frequent load shedding in MG Road Colony.

I am surprised that in spite of lodging complaints with the power department, nothing has been done and the locality of MG Road Colony continue to face frequent load shedding for the last three months. Due to this the people of this locality are facing much hardship. Further, both parents and their children are very concerned with the frequent power cut as the annual final exams will commence soon. It must also be noted that it is the common people, the low income and hand to mouth groups of people who suffer the most during load shedding because they cannot afford to buy solar panels or generators.

I therefore request the power department and the authorities to look into the matter immediately and restore uninterrupted supply of power to this locality at the earliest.

Yours sincerely,

MEENAKSHI
