SUBJECT : Concern over the high negligence of traffic police in the city.
Dear Sir,
Through the columns of your esteemed newspaper I would like to express my concern over the negligence of traffic police in the city which has caused a lot of problems to the residents.
Patiala is a big city with a lot of vehicles moving around every time. in such a big city it is the responsibility of the traffic police to maintain the traffic conditions in any area. But it looks as if they have forgotten their responsibility. Many a times the policemen are found chilling in the roadside cabins instead of looking after the traffic. They often ignore the fact that many people do not even follow the rules. Many people break the traffic signals, Don not wear helmets and seat belts and also drive rashly but the policemen present there continuously turn a blind eye to them.
The terrible accident that took place in Moti Bagh a few days ago also failed to awaken the concerned authorities. As a concerned citizen, I request that the authorities should take strong actions against such policemen. I hope that my words will not fail to make an impact on the concerned authorities.
