Sir

Through the columns of your esteemed daily, I would like to ventilate the daily problems being faced by the residents of Anandpur due to the despicable conditions of sanitary arrangements.

Life has become deplorable due to the lack of proper sanitisation in our area. Our locality has been infested with flies and mosquitoes which are spreading diseases. In fact, a number of people have already been affected by water-borne diseases like dysentry and cholera. Whenever, there is a little shower the drains overflow and due to waterlogging the stagnant water over the roads make it rather difficult for the residents to live a proper life. In spite of repeated reminders to the concerned authority, no serious actions has been taken. The number of sweepers in this area is unexpectedly low and there is no routine collection of garbage from the Municipal Corporation which has led to piling up of heaps of garbage here and there.

Under such circumstances, I, on behalf of all the residents would like to draw the attention of the concerned authorities with the help of your esteemed daily.

Sir,

    I would like to mention the daily suffering in our locality due to lack of sanitation and hygiene. In this area, there is no dustbin on footpath and the process of garbage cleaning is very much irregular. The uncovered drains, heaps of rubbish and stagnant water are causing mosquito and other insects. Bad smells also come from these.

Due to the last rain, the condition of this area has become more pathetic. We have complained to municipality repeatedly but no actions are taken by them.

You are requested to give a small space in your newspaper for this matter to be published.
