Subject: Bursting of crackers and its effects
Respected Sir,
I would like to take this opportunity to voice my concern regarding this important issue through the respected columns of your newspaper.
The increase in sales of crackers can be attributed to the fact that Diwali is drawing closer. Nevertheless, in the spirit of the celebration, the vast majority of us forget about the impact that bursting crackers have on the environment. To begin, the use of crackers contributes significantly to the pollution of the atmosphere. This is evidenced by the fact that in the days following Diwali, we are always surrounded by a pall of smoke. The effects of these fumes can be harmful not only to humans but to every other form of life that exists on this planet as well.
Second, crackers aren't good for animals because they make a lot of noise, which terrifies the poor creatures and frequently results in serious injuries as they try to escape the noise.
This letter's objective is to raise awareness about the issue so that everyone can practise greater restraint with regard to the bursting of crackers.
Sincerely
