Sub: History Syllabus – A Hurdle in Education
Respected sir
Through the columns of your esteemed daily, we wish to bring it to the kind notice of CBSE and other school authorities about the problem being faced by class X students in the history taught by Wisdom.
In the academic session 2021-22, the tenth standard history course goes absolutely off the point. The sequence of the chapters is not relevant. It is like learning about the Britishers before studying the Ancient history. There is not any story that makes sense or can be followed. The syllabus assigned by CBSE not only has an improper sequence of chapters, but also excludes the chapters that are discussed in the class. The issue is that the syllabus does not at all outline the chapters we have studied thoroughly. Instead, it includes chapters that are foreign to us. In the end, we all are weakly prepared for the examination and our grades fall out really poor. Even the history teachers are disappointed with this.
We hope you will publish these views in the weekly column of your widely circulated newspaper so that the concerned authorities willingly resolve the loopholes in the history syllabus.
Thanking you,
Yours faithfully
Students of X
