As we all know that ‘Hima Das the Indian Sprinter won 5 Golds in one month’, this shows that how much our capable and interested in sports. But in the past decades very less youngsters have participated in sports and day by day their interest are becoming dim. `

Sir, the main reason for this is the negligence, limited value and no motivation is given to sports by schools and parents. Now a days students are burden with school homework and parents also think that there is very less scope in sports in sports and force their children to focus on studies rather then sports.

Therefore Sir, with the help of this letter, I would like to appeal to the concerned authority to inculcate the importance of sports by providing basic to advance sports facilities to each and every school.

Sub: Provision of Basic sports facilities to school.

Sir,

I just read the news report 'Hima Das wins 5 gold medals in one month'. I was highly impressed by this,and I wish there were more youngsters like her.

Sports are very important in life and teachs us many essential values like teamwork, sportsmanship, humility,etc. They help us to reduce stress and to keep physically fit. Today more than even before, we need the help of sports to make our life successful.

However to encourage the youth to take up sports sirously, we need basic sports facilities in all schools. Sadly these are lacking today at least in Kolhapur. I request you to look into the matter and provide the necessary facilities.

Please also provide incentives to motivate youngsters to take up sports. They will wean themselves away from TV, the computer and social networking. I hope you will take my suggestion sirously and implement it on an urgent basis.
