Sir:
I am writing to bring your kind attention towards the looming issue of tiger extinction in our state. The tiger population is getting depleted at an alarming rate. According to a recent survey, one tiger is being poached every day. If the present state of affairs is allowed to continue, the next generation will not get to see the majestic animal even in the zoo.
I know tigers are protected species; however, in spite of the various conservation programmes launched by the government, the tigers are about to go instinct in our state. The government forest officers have failed miserably in protecting the rare animals. They appear to be in league with the poachers for financial gains.
Besides, the government and authorities responsible for the growth of the tiger population has not made enough efforts. On the other hand other states such as Gujrat, Utrakhand, and West Bengal have done praiseworthy work in preserving tigers. The tiger population has grown significantly in these states. As a concerned citizen of this country I appeal to you to look into the matter and take some steps in this regard. I hope you will take some prompt measures.
Yours truly,
Manmohan Pandey
