Respected Sir,

I'm a student of your institute, studying in grade 11. As you know, we've recently had our summer vacations going on. Sadly, it has ended. I was well aware of the re - opening date being 25th of March but due to unexpected reasons, I had to extend my stay and couldn't make it on time. I came back to school only yesterday. I apologize for this.

I will make sure to complete whatever work I've missed and keep up with the portion. I will be grateful to you if you would excuse this act of mine.
