Explanation:

Respected Librarian

With due respect, I issued an SAT book last week for my test preparation. Yesterday, I brought the book with me to the school for returning it. However, during my free class when I was in the ground, I forgot the book over there. When I realised that I have left the book in the ground, I immediately went back but it was nowhere to be found.

I went to the lost and found office, but the in charge didn’t receive any book on that day. Also, I asked other people who were at the ground but nobody saw it. I am sincerely sorry for disappointing you. You can look into my previous issuing history and such thing has not happened even once.

I am aware it is my fault for being this irresponsible. I am ready to pay the fine and I request you to kindly let me borrow books from the library in the future. I assure you that such thing will not happen again. I hope you accept my apology.

Yours faithfully
