Sir.
I am (name) of (address). I would like to draw your attention to a harrowing problem in our area. People of the area as well as people from outside the locality have converted a part of our public road into a refuse dump.
We, the residents of the area are facing myriads of problems due to this. The area is a favourite haunt of street dogs. They fight among themselves and the pandemonium created is unbearable. The fight makes them very aggressive and they tend to growl at the people walking along the road. One or two times there were incidents of dog bites also. Besides, they drag the rotting remnants of food around making the area very unhygienic. The stink produced is gagging the nearby residents.
The rotting garbage is a breeding ground for flies and mosquitoes. This poses high health risks. The garbage that scatter around makes it very difficult to walk along the road without risking a slip and fall.
In short, it is a sorry situation. We have already complained about the problem to our municipal authority. But nothing has been done so far. All the efforts we ourselves take prove to be ineffective.
We would be extremely grateful if you look into the matter and arrange for daily or at least a weekly removal of the garbage by the municipality. Cameras should be installed to catch the culprits and exemplary punishments should be meted out to them. I hereby humbly request you to look into my suggestions and realize them so that the residents of this area are rescued from this difficult situation.
