Dear police,

Last night at roughly 10pm, a thief climbed into my neighbour's flat. The thief was wearing a black mask and had black hair with a strip of red. He was wearing a black shirt with white stripes and was wearing dark blue jeans. He looked like he was 30 years old. He stole a suitcase full of money and a painting of 'mona lisa'. Please catch the thief soon. Thank you.

Dear sir,

subject:Theft in Nehru Apartment

I would like to draw your kind attention to a theft that took place in my neighbouring flat number 123 Nehru Apartments, on the intervening night of 10th/11th October. The owner of the flat Mr R.N Gupta, a close friend of mine had gone to Delhi to attend a wedding with his family, the previous night. In the morning when I came out of my flat for my usual morning walk, I found the main door of his flat a jar with a broken lock flung on the floor. Fearing the worst, I informed the local police station of the incident, and also my friend at Delhi.

Despite my insistence, the inspector Mr.SK Sharma, was unable to summon the dog squad, that could have given some vital dues for catching the culprit. However nothing much was done except for waiting for the family to return and record this statement. Mr Gupta informed that the valuable surmounting to rupees 200000 have been stolen. the pace at which the investigation is in progress, there is no hope for catching the thief.

it is intended very surprising to note, that despite the tremendous advances made in criminology, our police is still adopting ancient methods for investigation. Appropriate measures must also be taken to ensure the safety of the inhabitants of their apartments.

Yours faithfully,
