Sir,
I am writing this letter to bring to your kind notice the issue of water shortage being faced by our citizens. Poor facilities causes much inconvenience to the residents.The problems of the residents have become exceedingly serious.
We are facing a severe problem of growing instances of insufficient water supply for the last three months in our locality.
May I suggest that adequate measures to save water should be initiated and implemented. Programmes for recycling of water and rain - harvesting will go a long way in meeting the demand for water, especially in such times of crisis. Those engaged in farming and other related agricultural activities must be provided incentives to build storage tanks in the fields and use drip irrigation. Suitable measures must be taken to curb the wastage of water in households and industries by imposing restrictions and ‘fines’ for breach of rules.
We have already given many complaints to our local authority. They are always giving us empty promises and doing nothing.I appeal to your excellency to look into the matter and expedite the corrective and preventive measures for the affected residents. Looking forward to prompt action.
