Dear Sir,
Subject: Increased cases of thefts in our locality
This is to bring to your notice that our locality has become very less protected in the recent few weeks. Random people enter and exit our colony and nobody questions their identity.
Increased cases of chain snatching has been reported in the nearby park after 4pm. Thefts and eve teasing is a common phenomenon nowadays. There needs to be increased police patrolling in the locality as our women and children are not finding it safe to move out of their houses after 5pm.
Hope this matter gains importance and is taken into consideration at the earliest.
I thank you in anticipation,
Regards
XYZ

To,

The Commissioner of Police,

Kolkata

Sub: Complaint against the increasing number of thefts in Gariahat.

Respected Sir,

I must call your attention to the increased threat of theft in my neighbourhood.

In the densely populated and expanding neighbourhood, the policeman is an unusual sight. Some goondas are openly engaging in thefts and robberies while the cops are nowhere to be found. Thefts have occurred up to four times this week. No home, not even one that is locked for a few hours during the day, is secure.

Additionally on the rise is burglary. Five criminals recently broke into a home and robbed the occupants of all their cash and jewellery while flashing knives.

I kindly ask you to act right away to halt this wave of unease.

Yours' Faithfully,

ABC.
